DENPASAR – Pullman Bali Legian Beach has reaffirmed its commitment to environmental sustainability and social responsibility by hosting its annual Pullman Green Heart program, inviting children from three orphanages to take part in an educational and recreational experience centered on caring for the planet.

Held on July 3, 2026, the initiative welcomed dozens of children from Annika Linden Orphanage, Eben Haezer Orphanage, and Sakinah Orphanage, providing them with interactive environmental learning activities, creative workshops, and donations of reusable essential items.

The Green Heart program, which initially focused on collecting and distributing donated goods, has evolved into a broader community engagement initiative that fosters meaningful interactions between Pullman Bali Legian Beach’s employees—known as Heartists—and local communities.

General Manager Ravi Khubchandani.

General Manager Ravi Khubchandani said the program reflects Pullman’s vision of hospitality that extends beyond guest services to creating positive social and environmental impact.

“Pullman Green Heart represents the kind of hospitality we believe in—one that not only welcomes guests but also connects people and creates positive change. Through this initiative, we hope to provide enjoyable experiences while nurturing environmental awareness from an early age,” Khubchandani said.

As part of the program, the resort distributed a variety of pre-loved but well-maintained items donated by Heartists, including clothing, shoes, books, toys, accessories, and daily necessities. The initiative promotes responsible consumption by extending the lifespan of usable goods while helping reduce waste.

The children also explored Gaia Harmony Park, Pullman Bali Legian Beach’s green space dedicated to environmental education. During the visit, they learned about biodiversity, flora and fauna conservation, and the importance of protecting natural ecosystems through engaging and hands-on activities.

The day continued with recreational sessions at the resort’s Kids Playhouse, where participants enjoyed games designed to stimulate creativity, motor skills, and social interaction in a fun and supportive environment.

Adding a unique hospitality experience, the children participated in a napkin-folding workshop led by Pullman’s Heartists. The session introduced them to one of the creative aspects of the hotel industry while encouraging teamwork and imagination.
The Green Heart initiative forms part of Pullman Bali Legian Beach’s broader sustainability strategy.

The resort, which holds the internationally recognized Green Globe certification, continues to implement environmentally responsible practices while strengthening its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs.

According to the management, the initiative aligns with Pullman’s global philosophy of creating “new exchanges” by bringing together people, ideas, and meaningful actions that generate lasting benefits for both communities and the environment.

For Pullman Bali Legian Beach, sustainability extends beyond certifications and eco-friendly operations. It is equally reflected in the active involvement of Heartists, partners, and local communities in cultivating a culture of sharing, environmental stewardship, and social inclusion.

Through the Green Heart program, the resort hopes to inspire more individuals and organizations to recognize that simple actions—such as sharing reusable items, reducing waste, and teaching children to appreciate nature—can collectively contribute to a more sustainable future.
