Bimba Rainbow Taman Giri celebrated its third anniversary through the “Lihat Kebunku” creative showcase, highlighting confidence, character building, social skills, and holistic learning for children aged 3–6.

BADUNG, BALI — Bimba Rainbow Taman Giri marked its third anniversary with a children’s creative showcase titled “Lihat Kebunku”, bringing together young learners aged 3 to 6 in a lively celebration of art, confidence, friendship, and character development.

Held at Alindra Villas & Spa, Jimbaran, Badung, Bali, on Saturday, August 15, 2026, the event featured children performing in a variety of costumes inspired by flowers and nature, including sunflowers, lilies, and bees.

The performance was more than an entertainment event. It was designed to introduce children to diversity and encourage them to appreciate differences from an early age.

Michelle Natasha Lois, S.Pd., manager of Bimba Rainbow Taman Giri, said the concept of “Lihat Kebunku” reflects how she views every child as a flower with unique potential.

“We see the children as flowers. They are growing, blooming, and eventually producing results that make their parents and the country proud,” Michelle said.

The showcase also provided opportunities for children to overcome shyness and build confidence. Some children performed individually, including singing accompanied by guitar, while others demonstrated their ability to recite the Pancasila.

Michelle said working with children between the ages of 3 and 6 requires patience, commitment, and genuine passion.

“Handling children aged 3 to 6 is not an easy job. The hardest part for us is when we have to say goodbye to children whom we have guided as they grow older,” she said.

According to Michelle, the success of the event was also inseparable from the dedication of the tutors and cooperation between the school, children, and parents.

“The success of today’s event was also made possible by our teachers and tutors, as well as the cooperation of the children and their parents,” Michelle said.

Learning Beyond Reading and Writing

Bimba Rainbow Taman Giri applies a holistic curriculum based on Play-Based Learning (PBL) and fun learning. The approach goes beyond conventional reading, writing, and mathematics instruction.

Children are encouraged to develop across multiple areas, including social and emotional skills, cognitive abilities, language development, and both fine and gross motor skills.

“The children here do not simply come to class, complete worksheets, and go home. We invite them to learn through play in a meaningful way. That is why our message is: learn, play, and make it meaningful,” Michelle said.

The learning model also recognizes that every child has a different personality, ability, and pace of development. For that reason, Bimba Rainbow Taman Giri places emphasis on a personal approach tailored to individual children.

Parents See Growing Confidence

Parents attending the “Lihat Kebunku” showcase also expressed appreciation for the development they have seen in their children.

One parent said her children, Greta and Greya, have become more sociable and confident since attending Bimba Rainbow Taman Giri.

She highlighted the children’s enthusiasm during the showcase, noting that they appeared comfortable performing in front of an audience.

“During the showcase, the children were very brave. They no longer seemed reluctant or shy when performing. There were no sad faces. They simply played and enjoyed the activity,” she said.

She also praised the school’s approach, saying education at Bimba Rainbow Taman Giri focuses not only on academic abilities but also on character development.

“They are not only learning how to read and write. They are also learning about character. They are willing to socialize with everyone, they do not choose their friends, and they are active,” she said.

The third-anniversary celebration ultimately became a reflection of Bimba Rainbow Taman Giri’s educational philosophy: allowing children to grow naturally through enjoyable, meaningful, and personal learning experiences.
